Agreeing to these terms

Edmilia Letter Check (“the checker”) is provided by Loopmerce LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA (“we”, “us”). By using the checker, and when you tick the box before your first results, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the checker.

What the checker is

The checker gives automated feedback on the writing of a motivation letter or statement of purpose: length, structure, names, generic phrases, evidence and similar points. Results marked Verified are measured facts. Results marked Suggestion are patterns that often weaken letters, and you decide whether they apply.

  • It does not write your letter, and it does not judge your suitability for any programme.
  • It does not predict or guarantee admission, a scholarship or a visa. Universities and authorities make those decisions.
  • It is not legal, immigration or professional advice.
  • University requirements change. Always follow your programme’s official instructions.

Free of charge, no refunds

The checker is free. We do not ask for payment details and we do not charge you anything, so there is nothing to refund. If we ever offer paid features, they will be clearly marked, will be optional, and will come with their own terms, including a refund policy, before you pay.

Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old to use the checker and to give us your email address.

Your letter and your content

Your letter is yours. It is checked on your own device and is not sent to us, so we do not receive, store or use it, and we claim no rights in it. You are responsible for what you write and for checking any change you make before you submit an application.

Universities expect your letter to be your own work. Use the checker’s feedback to improve your writing, not to present someone else’s work as your own.

Your email and our emails

We ask for your email address before your first results. Give an address that belongs to you. We may use it to contact you about the service, for example about important changes to these terms. We send news about new free tools only if you tick the optional box, and every such email has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe here. We do not sell your email address.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • try to break, overload or get around the security or limits of the service;
  • send automated or fake requests, or try to change the public counter or statistics;
  • copy, resell or rebrand the checker or its rules as your own product;
  • use the checker for anything unlawful.

Our content

The checker, its design, rules, wording and the Edmilia name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use the checker and copy your own results and checklist for your applications. Other copying needs our written permission.

No guarantees

We work hard to make the checker accurate and available, but automated checks can miss problems or flag things that are fine. The checker is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

Because the checker is free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made by universities or authorities, arising from your use of the checker. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and ending access

We may update these terms or change, pause or stop the checker. If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you by email. We may block access that breaks these terms. You can stop using the checker at any time and ask us to delete your email.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Questions: hello@edmilia.com.
